Ah, New England. I'd say "Don't ever change," but I'm not particularly worried that it will.

The Cold Light Of Day
Let's talk about New England for a second. When I was taking these pictures, of the beautiful Phelps-Hathaway House in Suffield, it was cold. Not the coldest weather anyone's ever experienced, but somewhere in the low 20s. I had been outside for a few minutes, long enough to start to feel the icy air through my silk knit scarf, long down coat, fur-lined boots and fleece hat and gloves. And as I walked away from the historic house, back towards my car a few blocks away, a man jogged past me. He was wearing nylon shorts, a long-sleeved T-shirt, and sneakers.
Ah, New England. I'd say "Don't ever change," but I'm not particularly worried that it will.
