Schooled
I hated school. Hated, hated hated, it. Nursery, Elementary, Middle, High - all of them. I wanted nothing more than to escape each one of them, every single day I had to go to any of them. They used to make bumper stickers that said "I love school, it's the work I hate." That was not me. I didn't particularly mind the work, but flaming Jesus on a Triscuit, did I hate school. So I can't quite figure out why I am always drawn to little old schoolhouses. This is the Academy, built in 1820 in Branford. I seriously wonder if I would have hated school half so much if it had taken place in a building like this.
