It turns out that the farm with the fields of sunflowers also makes ice cream. Or rather, it turns out that this extremely popular ice cream stand happens to be surrounded by fields of sunflowers. If you've ever driven or walked around some town in Eastern Connecticut and wondered where all the people are, this is the answer. Everyone in Eastern CT (and parts of RI and MA, judging by the license plates of the cars packing the parking lot and lining the road as far as the eye can see) can be found at Buttonwood Farm buying ice cream.
Or, in my case, black raspberry yogurt with chocolate chips:-)
