Walking down Lewis Street in Hartford yesterday, I found myself drawn to the little things: gates, windows, narrow walkways, and stairs. Sometimes I wish all 18 square miles of Hartford were still filled with streets like this (and

this) where every building is full of details that can stop you in your tracks. Of course, if that were the case I'd probably never get anywhere...
