Deja Wintonbury
Oh look...it's another property of the Wintonbury Historical Society in Bloomfield. And it's another school. This one's called the Old Farm School; there are a few pictures of the inside here. It was built in 1796, and (this pleases me) it's actually located on School Street. Practically every Connecticut town has a School Street, and while one assumes there was a school on all of them at one point - 17th and 18th century English people were not the most imaginative when it came to nomenclature - most of them do not have schools on them today. Sometimes I'll drive down one, just to check, but it's never yielded a school. Until now.
